Presentation of the Challenge at the SFE² conference

During the International Congress of Ecological Sciences held from 21 to 25 November in Metz, the IA-Biodiv challenge was presented during a session dedicated to biodiversity data and technologies in ecology. The people who came to attend the presentation of this “coopetition” were conquered by this challenge mixing two communities, namely AI and Ecology. A focus was made on the selected projects (AIME, Smart-Biodiv, Fish Predict), the timetable of the challenge, and on the notions of open science, and FAIR-isation (easy to Find, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) of tools and data notably via the virtual research environment AI Biodiv-Net produced for the occasion.
